TENANT SCREENING:
The screening of prospective residents is a complex process that is more important than ever.
Income: All income is verified through income tax returns, pay stubs or employment verification.
Landlord References: Jacobs Realty, Inc. Property Management not only checks with applicants' current landlords, but we also check with previous landlords.
Criminal Background: The criminal background of all applicants is checked. Applicants with recorded incidents of violence or numerous disturbances may be declined.
Employer: Verification of employment is required for all applicants.
Lease Rental Agreement: A solid lease can mean the difference between making a profit or not. As part of our services, we provide you with lease agreements designed to protect you, your investment, and your income. Our Lease Agreement is very detailed and spells out resident responsibilities.
Staff: We have a full time leasing staff to answer prospective resident questions and personally meet them at your property.
Renewals: Turnovers can be expensive. We make sure to send current residents a renewal letter as the end of their leases approach.
